So far this TV tray is what I expected. I like it and am happy I bought it. That being said, some of the other reviews are right. It’s not solid like a rock stable, but it is very light and so I wasn’t expecting it to be that way. Mine sits flat on the ground and the bar holding the tray does lock into place. Raising it up and down involves pinching to compress both sides of the pins in in the holes in each leg and this may be difficult for an elderly person or someone with physical limitations. This table can be stored flat but that involves partially disassembling it, so I wouldn’t say that storing it flat is at all a feature of this item. The cup holder slides in and out under the tray but it is too small for some of our cups and it’s flimsy to the point where I’m not sure I’d trust it told hold my drink. I bought this for my son to take out to our porch to do homework on. I needed something light and small so that I can easily move it in and out of the garage/house everyday. I like how it can be raised and lowered or tilted. The tray itself is large enough for textbooks and other school work. The top is not smooth enough for writing on directly, so we need something under the paper to write on. The reason I chose this model with the curved legs rather than a tray with crossed legs is that I thought we’d accidentally kick this one less. So far I’m glad I got this one, but read the negative reviews as well so you can make a good decision based on your individual needs.

I purchased One of these when they first came out many many years ago and I love it. It was easy to use, easy to put together and easy to open. The original was a really great quality but unfortunately when I moved it got broke so I purchased this one. I guess this is like a newer edition from the original. I can’t really tell a difference but I love it, I use it every single day. It’s sturdy to hold a laptop. The versatility and the height is all adjustable to whatever your needs are. It fits great when you’re sitting in your recliner. If for some reason this one gets broke I will buy another one of these. I have the wooden folding tables and I don’t even use them anymore, I use this table. I highly recommend you will love it

Pros: I love the size of the XL table! It has plenty of space for my 16″ laptop and a mouse pad/mouse, plus a cup of coffee (I would not trust my large carry mug or a tall narrow glass of any kind). The grey color is darker than it appears in the picture, but is okay. I like the extra raised edge along the front of the table top for tilting it toward you when reading a book or using a tablet. It is super light and easy to move!
Cons: Not too steady when I set it up on the highest setting and only slightly better on the lowest setting (Was hoping it would rest on the arm of the chair, but it does not). I thought picture showed there was a connection across the back, but see it is the metal arm which holds the top up (It is just the angle of the picture which makes it look like there is something at the back. NOTE: A brace in back would probably help steady the table; Perhaps 2 angle braces like fold up tables often have.). Anyway, it has a bit of play in it from side to side and forward to back. You definitely can not lean on the table at all without it pushing down!
